I challenge any scientist, educator, business person, celebrity, politician, astrologer, physicist - anyone actually - to explain to me how life can work for life itself - for every human being and the earth - without each of us placing conditions on our expression and demands.
Well, to be perfectly honest, the title of this piece could read, ‘The First Nine Words God Spoke to me – when I actually knew it was him talking to me!’
You can read about this experience in more detail here:
But for now, I want to examine these words from a different angle.
The moment of this conversation was a critical one in my relationship with God. I knew I had access to something special, something sacred.
I had a friend with me who was also aware something big was happening and who was acutely aware of the incredible density that had overwhelmed the car we were in.
I could hardly breathe.
‘Ask a question’, my friend suggested.
So, I did.
‘What do we need to know right now? In this place and time?’
I was asking on behalf of humanity and the planet – the non-negotiable foundation for all I do.
His reply consisted of nine words.
‘Be and Trust!
Be and Trust!
Be and Trust!’
At first, I had a pretty good idea of what he meant by this, but as our conversations increased in their number and their intensity so too did the clarity with which I understood things.
Particularly in regard to the things that were said some years ago.
I now understand what was meant by the three words, repeated three times – God has used this strategy of reinforcement on several occasions – with far greater depth and clarity than I did when I first heard the words.
In fact, we often hear people encourage others to ‘be’, but I wonder if we realise what this means in its fullest capacity.
In this short reflection I am going to explore the full depth of our contemporary command to be and trust, by listing some things we do that are not being.
Before I go on we should all understand one thing.
Spiritual laws that have been handed down by God were not handed down to keep us from being naughty.
They were handed down to protect God’s body and to keep his body healthy.
We are the cells of his body, so our behaviour and the things we do, have a direct impact on his health.
So, when God says, ‘Be and Trust’, and reinforces this instruction twice more, he means business.
And he means business, not for our own sake – well, not for our individual sake – but for his own.
It is in our truest identity, a small part of something greater, that, by default, the instructions given by God, are of benefit to us.
I have written plenty about the truth of our relationship with God, so I could easily become side-tracked. But I will honour what I set out to do and leave it at that for now.
As we do go on you will see the reason why God added the word trust as essential company for the word ‘be’.
Firstly, when we add to any situation, our attachments to getting our own way, we cease to be.
This includes any law of attraction-esque personal development strategies and any approach to abundance or manifestation that involves energetic bending or manipulation for our own advantage.
Setting yourself a vision board and then meditating on it, in the hope what you have placed on it will come true, is not being.
When we do anything that aims to redirect energy – even sending it to loved ones – we are messing with the collective energy system.
God’s system.
So, it should come as no surprise the things that have made our world a mess have increased with the personal development industry and the widespread teaching of the law of attraction and other approaches to personal development and self-help that were aimed to make our lives bigger, better and more successful.
Even setting lofty life goals and then being attached to these means one ceases to be.
When any of us bring our focus, thoughts, attachments and attention to things being a certain way for us, we intensify the energy.
We increase the heat and direct it towards ourselves and our own benefit.
This is a massive contributor to anxiety, stress and depression.
Sitting stuck, directing red hot energy at yourself is damaging. Not just to you – but to God.
He needs us to be.
When we are in a state of being, we, and therefore God, are liberated and free.
Energy moves without obstruction or manipulation – it is cool and free flowing and places God in a state where he feels light and free.
The intensity we are placing on ourselves needing to be this and that is killing us – it’s killing God and fast-tracking his demise.
Hence, he has begun to speak out.
Hence, he must now reveal himself.
And this news means, good for him, bad for us individually. But good for us collectively.
The energetic intensity with which we approach our own lives, and with which we attack others – is simply an expression of the heat we have already captured and are directing at ourselves (though we think it is at someone else) through our hatred, dislike or attachment to things when they are not as we would wish them to be.
Any venom we spit, is sourced in us, and turns its poisonous aim back onto our own selves.
When we attack someone, who are we doing it for? Who does it serve? Us!
And that’s where it stays.
Any time we act, hoping for ourselves to benefit, even through posting on social media, where we put up a shot of ourselves hoping others will like it and be impressed with us, carries the energy of self-service.
It is not reflective of a state of being. It’s for you – not for God.
Our world has never been more abusive and disrespectful to God’s energetic system.
We have prioritised our own dreams and desires, our own bucket lists ahead of his.
And we have put a tremendous amount of energetic heat into achieving them and making them a reality.
The problem is this approach to life is like a tumour spreading through God’s body. It’s killing him.
And this also plays a massive role in the climate change issues we are dealing with today.
Ironically, the hatred, aggression and energetic intensity climate activists bring to their campaigns and protests is actually contributing to global warming and climate change.
It’s what it is.
It is our body heating up.
God’s body.
We are the cells of that body. We all move through it. And if we are carrying heat and intensity with us as we think, move and do, the body must feel it.
It has to!
We are killing God with our self-centred approach to life. We are destroying our system with the intensity of our attachments to the world and our lives being a certain way.
Of course, it sounds crazy to stop being attached and focused on creating our dream lives – after all – we only live once.
Unfortunately, if those dreams and desires aren’t aligned to maintaining the complete health of our greater self – they will be harmful.
So, we are destroying ourselves on two levels.
Firstly, with the energy we put towards creating the prefect lives for ourselves.
And secondly by making those perfect lives, lives that could never be sustainable were everyone in a position to live as we do.
But God has not left us in the lurch.
He has told us to trust. To leave it to him.
Why?
Because if we do this all the heat will be drained out of our system, and our energetic health will improve.
It will be more flowing and peaceful – cooler – as God will once again have the opportunity to direct, or rather allow, his energy system to do what it must.
You see, he seeks to be as well.
But he cannot, unless we do.
The beauty for us, if we choose to hand over the reins to a greater power, is that we will feel liberation and lightness like we have never felt before.
We get to allow things to unfold, without attachment as we set about doing our thing with only love in our hearts. What we do becomes pure selfless service, the greatest and most pure contribution to our collective energy system any of us can offer.
I can hear people say, ‘how am I meant to do that?’
Or, ‘how are we meant to do that?’
The things is you don’t have to.
You can maintain an intensity of energy. It’s just going to hurt us.
The only way to put God first – our collective body – is by not being attached to what we need – outside of what we really need that is – for our lives to feel validated and worthwhile.
Spiritual and energetic truth don’t go, ‘Oh, I’m sorry I upset you. By all means bend and manipulate energy to your own advantage all you like!’
They just feel and experience what we do, regardless of how we try to justify or dress them up.
Just as the cancers in our own bodies do not always bow to the severest of treatments we inflict upon them, nor might we to the concepts, laws and principles of conditional expression.
God has reached out in order to restore peace and balance to his life.
He has done this by offering nine words. Three words in one sentence repeated three times with increasing force and clarity.
Be and Trust.
Be and Trust.
Be and Trust.
God’s invitation to us.
He wants to self-heal – at the soul level in particular. But unless we – the cells of his body – come to the party, he is doomed.
And, with that, so are we!
Over to us!
The medication is being administered.
It is conditional expression.
Will we respond?
Only time will tell, but he doesn’t have much left in him.
With Love Tim
